BEVERLY, MASS. — Frank Kaminski’s annual Thanksgiving Auction took place November 25-26, offering nearly 1,000 lots of estate property and collections. One of the sleepers of the sale, which was the highlight of the first day, was an Eighteenth Century Flemish tapestry depicting assorted animals and measured 4 feet 9 inches by 7 feet 11 inches. Despite old repairs, the tapestry, which had provenance to the Palm Beach, Fla., estate of Robert Eigelberger sold to a longtime client of Kaminski’s, bidding on KaminskiLive, prevailed over competitors to take it from a $500/800 estimate to $12,500, including buyer’s premium.
