A charming little Devon pottery pig is one of hundreds of lots being sold by Charterhouse Auctions in Sherborne, Dorset on January 4 and 5.
The Exon Wemyss pig was found in the back of a cupboard in a Somerset cottage Charterhouse were instructed to clear. Decorated with colourful pansies, it measures just 11.5 cm high and is estimated at £150-£250.
“We had some staggering results throughout 2023 and it is great to start the year with this two-day auction full of lovely lots,” commented Richard Bromell.
The pig, with all the other lots in the first Charterhouse sale of 2024.
