Roger Ebert called it “probably the best film of its sort since The Wizard of Oz.” Fifty-two years after its release in 1971, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory continues to enchant viewers. The charismatic performance of the late Gene Wilder made this delightfully imaginative adventure even more vibrant and joyous.

As a child, I really wanted a golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s factory. As an adult, this movie remains one of my favorite guilty pleasures, an “Everlasting Gobstopper” in my top ten favorite movies. If you love Willy Wonka, like I love Willy Wonka, you might want to line up to bid for a chance to win a REAL Gene Wilder autographed Golden Ticket.
